Rat Vanin 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Vanin 1 (VNN1/Vanin-1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. Captured VNN1/Vanin-1 is detected using a biotinylated anti-VNN1/Vanin-1 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to the amount of analyte bound in each well.

The assay has a stated range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave averages of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 was demonstrated as: serum (n=5) 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma (n=5) 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
