Rat Valosin Containing Protein ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Rat Valosin Containing Protein (VCP) ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat VCP in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Detection relies on a biotinylated anti-VCP antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported sensitivity is 0.115 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml.

Spike-and-recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 80-102%, n=5), EDTA plasma 90% (range 81-100%, n=5), and heparin plasma 84% (range 80-89%, n=5).
