Rat Uromodulin ELISA Kit

Offered by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat UMOD in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for rat samples. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

An antibody specific for UMOD is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-UMOD Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of UMOD captured per well and is quantified against the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The assay range is 3.12–200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.29 ng/ml. Reported average recovery values across five samples are 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Linearity data across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions are also reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
