Rat Urocortin 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Urocortin 3 in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit uses an antibody specific for Urocortin 3 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Urocortin 3 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, with the intensity of the yellow product proportional to Urocortin 3 concentration as read at 450 nm.

The stated assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.056 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Average recovery values for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma were 91%, 90% and 84% respectively across n=5 samples per matrix. Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in the same sample types.
