Rat Uncoupling Protein 2, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Uncoupling Protein 2, Mitochondrial (UCP2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate format with biotinylated anti-UCP2 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, producing a colourmetric readout measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The standard assay procedure requires 4 hours 30 minutes to complete, including incubation steps at 37°C.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml and a quantitative measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with results interpolated from a standard curve generated by a 1:2 dilution series. Sample recovery in serum averages 91% (range 80–102%), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%), and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%), as determined across n=5 samples per matrix. Linearity has been validated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Reagents include lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
