Rat Ubiquitin ELISA Kit

This competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Ubiquitin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay is intended for use with a colorimetric microplate reader and applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique to deliver quantitative results.

During incubation, Ubiquitin present in samples or standards competes with Ubiquitin antigen immobilised on the pre-coated microplate for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Ubiquitin Antibody. After washing to remove unbound antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added and detected with TMB substrate, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is inversely proportional to the amount of Ubiquitin in the well, with the reaction quantified at 450 nm. Total assay time is 2h 30m.

The product standard range is 6.25–400 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 3.6 ng/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery values average 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–99%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is supported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
