Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat 14-3-3 zeta (also known as Tyrosine 3/Tryptophan 5 Monooxygenase Activation Protein Zeta), this sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with standards and samples quantified by reading optical density at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.
Across a measuring range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, the kit reports a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. The procedure relies on a biotinylated anti-14-3-3 zeta detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the intensity of yellow is proportional to target concentration.
Reported spike-and-recovery averages 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%), with linearity demonstrated at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same matrices. The product is supplied for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
