Rat Tumor Protein p53 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat p53 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: a p53-specific antibody is pre-coated onto a microplate, standards and samples are added and bound, the wells are washed and incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-p53 Antibody, then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After further incubation and washing, a TMB substrate is added; the resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm and p53 concentration is calculated from a standard curve. Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips.

The assay has a sensitivity of <28 pg/ml and a standard range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and include a Pre-Coated 96 Well Microplate, Lyophilized Standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and Plate Sealers.

Reported sample recoveries across n = 5 are: serum average 91% (range 83–100%), EDTA plasma average 94% (range 90–99%) and heparin plasma average 96% (range 91–101%). Linearity is provided for the same sample types across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
