From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Tumor Necrosis Factor Related Apoptosis Inducing Ligand (TRAIL) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The format is a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and detection uses a biotinylated anti-TRAIL antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and a TMB substrate with acidic stop solution.

Quantitative readout is performed by measuring absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The assay covers a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 6.7 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery across dilution series from 1:2 to 1:16 is 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma.

Supplied components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
