Rat Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a biotinylated anti-TNF alpha detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate; the TMB substrate reaction is read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

Sensitivity is reported as <7.1 pg/ml with a standard range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and the complete protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Provided components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery performance across sample matrices (n=5) showed average recoveries of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%).
