Rat Tryptophan Hydroxylase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Tryptophan Hydroxylase/TPH in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for the target has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with the reaction read at 450 nm and quantified against a standard curve.

The assay has a stated product range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.116 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min on a pre-coated microplate of 12 × 8 well strips read on a colorimetric microplate reader. It is intended for rat samples and uses a sandwich (quantitative) format.

Reported recovery in serum (n=5) averages 91% (range 80–102%), in EDTA plasma 90% (81–100%), and in heparin plasma 84% (80–89%); dilution linearity is given across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each matrix.
