Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Cardiac Troponin T (Troponin T Type 2, Cardiac). The assay is reactive with rat samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format in which an antibody specific for Cardiac Troponin T is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added, captured, washed and incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-Cardiac Troponin T Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Quantification is achieved with a TMB substrate and acidic stop solution, with the O.D. absorbance read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, the sensitivity is <5.4 pg/ml and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported performance includes average recovery of 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum (n=5) showing 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% respectively, EDTA plasma (n=5) showing 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108%, and heparin plasma (n=5) showing 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91%.
