Rat Troponin I Type 2, Fast Skeletal ELISA Kit

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Troponin I Fast Skeletal Muscle in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with a biotinylated anti-Troponin I Fast Skeletal Muscle detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow on addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. Sensitivity is reported at <0.65 ng/ml, the assay range is 2.34-150 ng/ml, and total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Reported sample recovery (n=5) averages 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. The protocol booklet states that the kit is for research use only, is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use, and that reagents from different lots or sources should not be mixed or substituted.
