Rat Transthyretin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Transthyretin (also known as Prealbumin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a Biotinylated Anti-Prealbumin Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 3.12–200 ng/ml, a sensitivity below 0.89 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery validation yielded average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 produced values within the 74–108% range across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. Reagents supplied include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer concentrate, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated.
