Rat Transketolase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Transketolase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Transketolase is immobilized on the plate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Transketolase Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is colorimetric using a TMB substrate solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader after addition of acidic stop solution.

The kit has a sensitivity of <0.34 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, range 80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions yielded recoveries of: serum (n=5) 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma (n=5) 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
