This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily M, Member 4 (TRPM4) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for TRPM4 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-TRPM4 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm, with TRPM4 concentration calculated against the standard curve.

Detection is colourimetric on a microplate reader, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The reported sensitivity is 0.055 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. Recovery values across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples fall between 79% and 108% at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X concentrate), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
