Rat Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 (TGF beta 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells; captured TGF beta 2 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-TGF beta 2 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction yields a blue product that turns yellow on addition of stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported specifications include a standard product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 6.5 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery was 91% in serum (range 83%-99%), 89% in EDTA plasma (range 80%-99%), and 90% in heparin plasma (range 82%-99%), each evaluated across n=5 samples. Linearity has been assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across the same three sample matrices.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
