Rat Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the quantitative in vitro determination of rat Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 (TGF beta 1) in serum, platelet-poor plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colourimetric detection using TMB substrate and absorbance read at 450 nm. The standard curve covers a product range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml, with a reported sensitivity of <13.3 pg/ml, and the protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery was characterised in matched samples (n=5), with serum ranging 83–99% (mean 91%), EDTA plasma 80–99% (mean 89%) and heparin plasma 82–99% (mean 90%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was tested in the same matrices. Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, two vials of lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A and Detection Solution B (120 µl each), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol manual. The capture antibody is specific for TGF beta 1.
