Rat Transforming Growth Factor Alpha ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro measurement of rat Transforming Growth Factor Alpha (TGF alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated anti-TGF alpha antibody paired with HRP-avidin detection, producing a colorimetric read-out measured at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is 6.7 pg/ml, with a working standard range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, and the full protocol can be completed in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery data: serum (n=5) ranges 80–102% with an average of 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranges 81–100% with an average of 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) ranges 80–89% with an average of 84%. Linearity is demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
