Rat TNF-α ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative determination of rat TNF-α. The assay provides a sensitivity of <7.14 pg/ml and an assay range of 78.13 – 5000 pg/ml, and is suitable for serum samples. An easy-to-follow protocol is included with the kit.

Running as a 4-hour sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay, the workflow uses a pre-coated microplate. Standards and samples are added to the appropriate wells, where TNF-α binds the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for TNF-α is added, forming an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich. Following further incubation and washing, an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate are added; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm, with absorbance directly proportional to TNF-α concentration in the sample.
