Rat Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat TIMP2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

A 96-well microplate pre-coated with anti-TIMP2 antibody is provided. Standards and samples are added to the wells; captured TIMP2 is detected using a biotinylated anti-TIMP2 antibody followed by HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The quantitative range is 1.56-100 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.60 ng/ml, with an assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery in undiluted samples (n=5) averages 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (80%-89%), and linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in each matrix. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
