Rat Thyroid Stimulating Hormone ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TSH. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-TSH Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of TSH calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported performance includes a measuring range of 0.234–15 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.072 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery in undiluted serum (n=5) ranges from 80% to 102% with an average of 91%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81% to 100% with an average of 90%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80% to 89% with an average of 84%. Dilution linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
