Rat Thyroglobulin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Thyroglobulin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for Thyroglobulin is pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells and captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Thyroglobulin Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with Thyroglobulin concentration calculated from a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <2.2 pg/ml, with an assay range of 7.81–500 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. In spiked samples, recovery ranges were 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–99% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
