Rat Thrombomodulin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Thrombomodulin in plasma. The 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips) is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Thrombomodulin, and standards and samples are added into the wells. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Thrombomodulin Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are added sequentially. TMB substrate is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The product range is 1.56-100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.57 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation data are provided for serum (n=5; 80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5; 81%-99%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5; 80%-89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
