Rat Thrombin Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Thrombin Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor (Carboxypeptidase B2) in plasma. The kit employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-Carboxypeptidase B2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a colour change that is proportional to analyte concentration and measured at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a reported range of 1.56-100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.56 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery in serum (n=5) averaged 91% (range 80-102%), in EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81-100%), and in heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80-89%).
