Rat Tenascin C ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA enables in vitro quantitative determination of rat Tenascin C in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Tenascin C. After samples are added, a Biotinylated Anti-Tenascin C Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance characteristics include an assay range of 0.937-60 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.41 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery values given for rat samples (n=5) are 80-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma, and linearity is documented across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol.
