Rat Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the quantitative measurement of rat Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is performed with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported product range is 3.12–200 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 1.08 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 h 30 min and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery data (n=5) are reported as serum 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). Linearity has been tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 for each).
