Rat Surfactant Associated Protein B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Prosurfactant Protein B in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, lung lavage fluid and other biological fluids [S1, S3]. A 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Prosurfactant Protein B; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate [S1, S3]. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and read colorimetrically at 450 nm [S1, S3].

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <0.142 ng/ml and a standard curve range of 0.312-20 ng/ml [S1, S3]. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave an average of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%) [S1]. Dilutional linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples [S1]. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes [S1].
