Rat Suppressors Of Cytokine Signaling 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SOCS3 (Suppressors of Cytokine Signaling 3) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

Standards and samples are captured by an immobilized SOCS3-specific antibody, then detected with a biotinylated anti-SOCS3 antibody and HRP-avidin. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of stop solution, with intensity proportional to SOCS3 concentration. The assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 0.063 ng/ml, with a total run time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation data report average recoveries of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
