Rat Superoxide Dismutase, Copper Chaperone ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Superoxide Dismutase 4/CCS (copper chaperone) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-target detection antibody and an HRP-avidin/TMB substrate system. Following addition of acidic stop solution the HRP reaction produces a yellow product, and target concentration is calculated from the absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

The assay has a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 h 30 m. Reported spiked recovery values (n=5) across sample matrices are 80–102% for serum (average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity data are provided for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.

Components supplied include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), detection solution A (120 µl), detection solution B (120 µl), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml), and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
