Rat Superoxide Dismutase 3, Extracellular ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Superoxide Dismutase 3 (EC-SOD) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips, with a Biotinylated Anti-SOD3 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, visualised using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The manufacturer's quoted standard curve range is 6.25–400 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 2.38 ng/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 h 30 min. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80–102% (mean 91%) for serum (n=5), 81–100% (mean 90%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80–89% (mean 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is given as 87–91% / 87–107% / 74–101% / 92–97% for serum (n=5), 90–105% / 84–101% / 90–101% / 79–108% for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 84–95% / 92–105% / 82–105% / 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5).

Supplied components are a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), Wash Buffer 30X (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
