Rat Superoxide Dismutase 1, Soluble ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of rat Superoxide Dismutase 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate with a specific anti-Superoxide Dismutase 1 capture antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The reported measuring range is 6.25–400 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <2.58 ng/ml, and a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. In spiked recovery testing (n=5), values were 80–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 spanned 74–108% across the three sample types.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed. The kit should not be used past its expiration date and is cited in two publications.
