Rat Sphingosine-1-Phosphate Phosphatase 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Sphingosine 1 Phosphate Phosphatase 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for the target pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Sphingosine 1 Phosphate Phosphatase 2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then used to produce a colour change read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with the resulting absorbance proportional to target concentration.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.063 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The kit is reactive for rat samples only and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported average recovery values across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples fall between 84% and 91%, with dilution linearity ranges provided for each sample type at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Storage conditions are +4°C or −20°C as instructed for individual components, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
