Rat SPARC Like Protein 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SPARCL1 (SPARC Like Protein 1) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, using a biotinylated anti-SPARCL1 detection antibody, HRP-avidin and TMB substrate to produce a yellow colour whose density is proportional to SPARCL1 concentration.

The stated assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml, and the full protocol takes 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.

Validation in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each) gave mean recoveries of 91%, 91% and 84% respectively, with observed ranges of 80–102%, 81–101% and 80–89%. Linearity was demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across each sample matrix.
