Rat Sorbitol Dehydrogenase ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is configured for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Sorbitol Dehydrogenase. It is reactive with rat samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a capture antibody specific for Sorbitol Dehydrogenase. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Sorbitol Dehydrogenase Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and is proportional to the analyte concentration. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The standard assay range is 1.56-100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.66 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery has been validated in serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80%-89%, average 84%), with linearity data provided for dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in the same matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
