Rat Sodium/Glucose Cotransporter 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SGLT2 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The procedure uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for SGLT2. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the target binds to the immobilized antibody; following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-SGLT2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate are applied sequentially.

TMB substrate is then added to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of SGLT2 captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.051 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes and detection is colorimetric. The product is for research use only.
