Rat SLPI ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Secretory Leukocyte Protease Inhibitor (SLPI) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate and follows a 4-hour protocol, with absorbance read at 450 nm following addition of TMB substrate and acidic stop solution.

The assay has a reported range of 0.313–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of <0.188 ng/mL. It is specific for SLPI with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Average recovery from healthy serum is 95% (range 90–104%, n=10), from EDTA plasma 96% (range 85–104%, n=10), and from heparin plasma 92% (range 86–98%, n=10). Validated sample dilutions include healthy serum and healthy plasma at 1:5–1:10, with serum and plasma samples recommended to be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing.

Standards and samples bind to the immobilised capture antibody; a biotinylated detection antibody is then added to form an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich, followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate for colorimetric visualisation.
