Rat Slit Homolog 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Slit Homolog 3 (Slit3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate in the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: standards and samples are added to wells where Slit3 is captured by an immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Slit3 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the enzymatic reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; the Slit3 concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Sensitivity is reported as less than 0.061 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported spike-and-recovery averages are 92% in serum (range 82-102%, n=5), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 91-98%, n=5) and 93% in heparin plasma (range 86-101%, n=5). Reported dilution linearity for serum at 1:2 to 1:16 ranges from 73% to 109%, for EDTA plasma from 87% to 110%, and for heparin plasma from 80% to 109%.
