Rat Sirtuin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids.

The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with standards and samples added to wells containing immobilised anti-SIRT1 antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-SIRT1 antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.118 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.
