Rat Sex Determining Region Y Box Protein 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SOX2 (Sex Determining Region Y Box Protein 2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The procedure uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate onto which an antibody specific for SOX2 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added, and captured SOX2 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-SOX2 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate solution, producing a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Mean recovery values (n=5) are 91% (range 80–102%) in serum, 90% (range 81–100%) in EDTA plasma and 84% (range 80–89%) in heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
