Rat Serum Amyloid P Component ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Serum Amyloid P/SAP in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-Serum Amyloid P/SAP detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is developed with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product after stop solution addition, with absorbance read at 450nm.

Sensitivity is 2.15 ng/ml and the working assay range is 6.25-400 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) is 80-102% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) is 81-100% (average 90%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) is 80-89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 falls within 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 82-105% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
