From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Selectin, Platelet (also referred to as CD62P) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for CD62P pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added, captured CD62P is detected with a biotinylated anti-CD62P antibody, and HRP-avidin with TMB substrate produces a colourmetric readout proportional to analyte concentration, measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The stated product range is 0.312-20 ng/ml and the reported sensitivity is <0.138 ng/ml. The platform is a pre-coated microplate and total assay time is 4 h 30 m. Storage is at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.
