Rat Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 5 (SFRP5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for SFRP5 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and after incubation with standards or samples, a Biotinylated Anti-SFRP5 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate are added. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and concentration calculated against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.43 ng/ml and the assay range is 1.25-80 ng/ml. Detection is colorimetric on a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma range from 84% to 91%.
