Rat Secretagogin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SCGN/Secretagogin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for SCGN/Secretagogin is pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-SCGN/Secretagogin Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm and concentration calculated from a standard curve.

Working assay range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 24.7 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m on a colourmetric microplate reader. Spike-and-recovery across matrices averaged 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 84% in heparin plasma, with individual ranges of 80-102%, 81-100%, and 80-89% respectively (n=5 per matrix). Linearity on dilution from 1:2 to 1:16 was demonstrated across all three matrices (n=5 each), with overall recovery ranges of 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 82-105% for heparin plasma.
