Rat S100 Calcium Binding Protein B ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat S100 calcium binding protein B in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for S100 beta, and uses a biotinylated anti-S100 beta antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow colour proportional to target concentration, read at 450 nm.

Reported performance characteristics include a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 12.1 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery averages across five replicates were 91% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 95% for heparin plasma, with corresponding ranges of 83%-100%, 91%-102%, and 89%-102% respectively. Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same three sample matrices.
