Rat S100 Calcium Binding Protein A11 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat S100A11 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric detection measured at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

The standard assay range is 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.61 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4 h 30 m. An antibody specific for S100A11 is pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added and the captured analyte is detected with a biotinylated anti-S100A11 antibody, followed by HRP-Avidin and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product has an intensity proportional to the S100A11 concentration in each well.

Validated recovery averages 91% in serum (n=5, range 83–100%), 94% in EDTA plasma (n=5, 90–98%) and 95% in heparin plasma (n=5, 89–102%). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
