Rat Renin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Renin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids.

The colourimetric assay is run on a pre-coated microplate and read at 450 nm against a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <6.5 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Detection uses a biotinylated anti-Renin antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour proportional to the Renin concentration captured in each well.

Validated matrices include serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) is reported as 80%-102% in serum (average 91%), 81%-100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80%-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity is reported for 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions across all three matrices.
