Rat Relaxin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Relaxin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate in a 12 × 8 well strip format and a competitive enzyme immunoassay technique, in which Relaxin in standards or samples competes with immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Relaxin antibody. An HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate generate a colour change measured at 450 nm, with absorbance inversely proportional to Relaxin concentration.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a working range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <9.16 pg/ml. Reported recovery is 80%–102% (average 91%) in serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma and 80%–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma, with dilution linearity demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16. The total assay time is 2h 30m and the detection method is colourimetric, read on a microplate reader.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated.
