Rat Relaxin 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Relaxin 3 in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for Relaxin 3. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and Relaxin 3 present in each sample binds to the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, Biotinylated Anti-Relaxin 3 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate solution, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Relaxin 3 captured, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <11.5 pg/ml and a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. The method is a quantitative colourmetric sandwich assay suitable for serum, plasma, and other biological fluids.
