Rat Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 3 Alpha ELISA Kit

This competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 3 Alpha (REG3a) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate.

REG3a present in samples or standards competes with immobilized REG3a antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-REG3a Antibody. After washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, and a TMB substrate solution produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with yellow intensity inversely proportional to REG3a concentration. Total assay time is 2h 30m.

Sensitivity is reported as 2.34 pg/ml, with a measurable range of 6.25-400 pg/ml. Detection is colourmetric and performed on a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the assay is suitable for serum and plasma samples.
